Ms. Shirley Favors has been employed with the University of Dayton's Career Services Office,
since 1988. She's served as Coordinator of Cooperative Education Engineering & Engineering
Technology Programs from '88 - '91, Assistant Director of Cooperative Education Business, Arts
& Science Programs from '91 - 2000 and Career Services Assistant Director and Career Advising
Liaison for the College of Arts & Sciences, from 2000 until present.
Background
She is a native Daytonian and dedicated to the etiquette enhancement and career development
of young people. Her professional background consists of a combination of teaching,
advertising , sales positions and public speaking. She's a former Territory Sales
Representative for a well known consumer manufacturer, an Advertising Sales Account
Executive for a Dayton radio station and Teacher with the local City School system.
Education
Ms. Favors earned a M.S. degree in Education from the University of Dayton and a B.S.
degree in Secondary Education from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia.
